International EPR(ESR) Society Awards for 2024 – call for nominations

Dear Members of the IES,

I am glad to announce the opportunities for nominations for our society prize awards.

The deadline this year for nominations is the 30st of November, 2023.

It is very important that you, as active members, contribute to the nominations. The respective committees need many good nominations from you!

This year we have the following three prizes awarded (notice that Silver medal is now “medal”):

  1. Medal for Chemistry
  2. Medal in Instrumentation and methods (including theory and software) developments (Postponed from last year)
  3. John Weil Young Investigator Award

In addition, we also accept nominations for Fellows of IES

On our webpage you find the information on all the former prize winners and Fellows.

Nomination can be made only by active (paying) IES members.  All nominations, accompanied by CV, must also be accompanied by a 100-150 word citation in support of the nomination.

No nomination can be considered without a citation. Keep in mind that additional supporting material may be included that can help the committee understand the impact of the nominee’s contributions to EPR /ESR.

In the case of nomination for the John-Weil Young Investigator awards, nominees should be within 10 active research years of receiving the PhD degree on the 1st July of the year of the award.  The nominee will ordinarily be at the post-doctoral level.  Only in exceptional circumstances will either doctoral candidates or junior faculty members be considered for this Award. Moreover, please provide copies of two recently published papers which, in the nominator’s judgment, represents the nominees best work.  Please check the web site for details.

All nominations are to be sent to the IES President.
